TMS Headquarter 2023

Here we are! TMS has moved to new premises.

In September this year, we were able to move into our new offices in Heidgraben at the gates of Hamburg, Germany. TMS is now working in a new building with 500 square metres of office space and state-of-the-art infrastructure on a site measuring around 1,700 square metres.

The entire building is designed to meet the highest energy requirements and is thus an essential component on our way to CO2 neutrality. Sophisticated insulation systems, heat pump, e-charging stations for cars and a photovoltaic system with an output of approx. 30 KWp round off the sustainable orientation of TMS at the new location.

The key criteria for this move were sustainability, proximity and expansion potential. Further digitalisation measures have also been implemented in conjunction with the construction of the new company headquarters.

In addition, the construction of the neighboring warehouse will be completed in December this year and will contribute significantly to increasing our logistics services.

At the same time, we have been able to expand our team with additional qualified employees and are now ideally positioned both as an employer and as a supplier to the maritime industry.

The new TMS headquarters is taking shape

TMS moves – to the gates of Hamburg, Germany. The current company headquarters has increasingly set limits for planned expansion, so we have decided to relocate TMS to Heidgraben on gates of Hamburg.

The extensive industrial park of the municipality is already the location of several companies of the maritime industry, which appreciate the short distance to the Port of Hamburg, Airport Hamburg and the favorable infrastructure.

Already 5 years ago, TMS applied for the newly tendered plots and was awarded the contract at the beginning of 2022. Since we already had concrete ideas and plans, we were able to start construction in August 2022 despite adverse circumstances at this time.

On 1,700 sqm, a new office building exactly tailored to our requirements is being built, as well as an additional warehouse. Around 600 sqm of office space over two floors and a modern high-bay warehouse offer the current 14 employees of the TMS team the best conditions to perform optimally for our customers. The premises will also have potential for our strategic expansion in the future.

The entire building is designed to meet the highest energy requirements and is thus an essential component on our way to CO2 neutrality. Sophisticated insulation systems, heat pump, e-charging station for cars and a photovoltaic system with an output of approx. 30 KW round off the sustainable orientation of TMS at the new location.

In the future, the new building will make the supply of ship spare parts for our international customers from shipping and industry even more flexible, and our services can be expanded.

We look forward to moving into our new headquarters in July 2023.

The newly founded company is called Technical Marine Solutions GmbH and serves over 100 shipping companies and maritime customers. With the spin-off, the management is reacting to the increased demand for environmentally friendly processes, systems and products. The new team consists of eight sales managers, engineers and specialists with many years of experience in the maritime industry. Among others, he has worked for the propulsion manufacturer SCHOTTEL, the German and Italian classification societies Germanischer Lloyd and RINA in leading positions.

Martin Stoltenberg, owner of TMS, expects the new subsidiary to successfully expand the agency business: “With Peter Leveringhaus as Managing Director, we have an experienced manager on board who brings more than fifteen years of experience in the maritime industry.”

According to Leveringhaus, the portfolio of offers and services is to be gradually expanded in order to provide maritime customers with innovative, customised and, above all, efficient products and services that enable sustainable ship operation.

2020 Donation

Donation to Seemannsmission Hamburg-Altona

Seafaring is an extreme place of work, characterised by the globalised consumption of goods, in which ships are getting bigger and the people working in this sector are becoming more and more inconspicuous.

During Christmas time, the season of love and contemplation, when many of us enjoy the end the year with their loved ones, many seamen cannot be with their families. The Seemannsmission Hamburg-Altona e.V. is a non-profit association dedicated to providing these seamen with dignified accommodation all year round and to being a 24-hour point of call in difficult situations, to supporting them with friendliness and helpfulness and to giving them a little recognition. In addition to public grants, it is dependent on voluntary commitment and donations.

We highly appreciate the work of the association and in order to reward it, we have decided to support it with a donation at Christmas this year. In the course of our donation hand-over we visited the premises located at Große Elbstraße 132 in Hamburg and could hence even get a closer insight into the association work.
